Heather calls me.
I answer my brand new i-phone.
“Hi Gavin, Pleasure Island is to be dismantled in Venice and be transported to wherever we’d like it to go. Shall we rebuild it in your new gallery as a sculpture?”
“That sounds wonderful Heather.”
“And there will be puppets of course. Lots of puppets.”
I wonder about the puppets.
What will they be like?
When I get to meet them, I find out they are called Love You and Sorry.
They get up to horrible things. Pleasure Island is not all love and harmony.
It’s survival, violence, addiction, perversion, pain, joy and death.
